SMP Writer's Cut Chapter 14

        In the underground temple....

        Bowser stood in a large circular room with a skylight that opens by a rope's pull. Jazz and Peach were tied to posts which stood upon a large Yin-Yang symbol on the floor. From above, one could see many torches around the room, arranged so that they would form the shape of a star when they were all lit.

        "This is it." Bowser said, wearing the talismans around his neck. "Once I pull that rope, moonlight will fill the room. Then, once it shines on you two pure maidens, I can unleash the absolute power contained within these talismans!"

        "You won't get away with this! My brother will beat you!" Jazz said.

        "Heh, I've heard that before." Bowser said, mocking Jazz. "Meh, it won't matter soon anyway, because I will be unstoppable!"

        Bowser then pulled the rope, releasing moonlight into the room. He then stood in the middle of the room, holding his arms out, ready to absorb the talismans' power.

        The torches began to light themselves. Soon they grew bright with purple flames. Bowser too began to give off an eerie purple glow.

        "Yes, I can feel it... the power... the absolute power..." Bowser said.

        Suddenly a rough pounding was heard from the door on the other side of the room. The door was then broken down, and through it came Mario, Luigi, and Danny.

        "Mario! Luigi!" Peach said.

        "Don't worry, I'll save you!" Danny said, flying towards the captive girls.

        This plan was cut short, however, because the energy from Bowser's talismans zapped Danny, knocking him into the back wall. Danny then reverted back into his human form.

        "*sigh* No good. That energy shorted out my powers." Danny said.

        "Let me give it a shot!" Mario said, pulling a star-shaped object out of his pocket.

        Mario began to glow many different colors. He then ran over to Peach, but this plan too proved to be fruitless, as Mario was zapped, knocked back, and deprived of his power.

        "Even a power star wasn't enough?" Mario said. "Just what are we dealing with here?"

        The flames surrounding Bowser grew brighter and brighter, until they were almost too bright to look at. Bowser then began to grow larger, his face staying mostly the same.

        The flames then died out, leaving a 25-foot bowser with enlarged horns and a purple aura in their wake.

        "Yes! I am unstoppable now! Say hello to... GIGA BOWSER!" He yelled, his voice lower than usual.

        "Now what do we do?" Luigi asked Mario. "Even that power star couldn't let you get near him!"

        "I don't know, but we've got to keep trying!" Mario said.

        "No Mario." Giga-Bowser said. "For years you have been a thorn in my side, and every time you've foiled me, it was because I wanted to torture or have fun with you instead of killing you."

        "I don't like where this is going..." Luigi said.

        Giga Bowser then began to charge up a gigantic ball of fire in his throat.

        "This is it! Mario, Luigi, Danny Phantom, GOOD NIGHT!" Giga-Bowser said, releasing his blast upon the three.

        After it exploded, all that remained of Danny Phantom and the Mario Brothers were piles of ash, still smoking from Giga-Bowser's attack.

        "NO! MARIO!" Peach yelled.

        "Danny..." Jazz said, tears welling up in her eyes. "No... you can't be gone..."

        "MWAHAHAHAHAHA! Ladies, you have just witnessed history, the death of the Super Mario Brothers and Danny Phantom!" Giga-Bowser said, overjoyed at his victory.

        "Now begins the campaign for total domination over all worlds!" Giga-Bowser said, picking Peach and Jazz up in his oversized claws. "And you, Peachy my dear, will rule with me as my emperess."

        Giga-Bowser then looked over to Jazz. "You... well I could always use another maid for my castle."

        "Yes, Giga-Bowser..." Jazz said, broken in heart and spirit.

        Two weeks later...

        Danny felt as if he was floating in a pool of grape jelly, yet for some reason he could still breathe normally. It was a strange feeling, yet somehow refreshing. He felt all his aches, pains, cares, and worries just float out of him.

        Suddenly, this feeling would end, for he heard a drain open up from under him, and within a minute, all of the gel left whatever strange room Danny was in.

        His eyes fluttered open, and he looked around himself to see that he was in a pod of some sort. He looked outside the pod's window to see three figures standing before him.

        "Feeling all right, Danny?" said a young boy's voice, familiar to Danny's ears.

        "Huh... Jimmy?" Danny said, still groggy. "Wh-where am I?"

        "You are in the Ghost Zone." said another voice, this one sounding much older, almost fatherly. "I was able to rescue you and the Mario Brothers just before you were completely destroyed by Giga-Bowser's attack."

        "Clockwork?" Danny said. "But why did you bring us here?"

        "Because nearly every other world has fallen under control of Giga-Bowser." said a third voice, this one sounding tough.

        "Okay, I don't think I know you." Danny said.

        "Jimmy, I think it's time we let him out." the tough voice said.

        Just then the door opened, and Danny stepped out to see the three figures face to face. He recognized his friend Jimmy Neutron by his red shirt, blue pants, and brown hair with one curl on top, and he recognized Clockwork by his purple hood and cape.

        He did not, however, know who the third person was. This one was dressed in a green outfit that seemed very reminiscent of most fairy tales, and carried a sword and shield on his back.

        "My name is Link, protector of the kingdom of Hyrule." the man said, holding out his hand to greet Danny.

        "Uh, my name's Danny." Danny said, shaking Link's hand.

        Just then Jimmy let Mario and Luigi out of their pods. After getting introduced to Jimmy, Mario and Luigi went over to Danny.

        "So, do you have any idea on what's going on?" Luigi asked Mario.

        "Not a clue." Mario said.

        "If you will just listen for a moment, I will tell you what is going on." Clockwork said. "Now, using my innate power over time, I was able to rescue you just before Giga-Bowser's fireball destroyed you."

        "Um, not that I'm ungrateful, but if you have power over time, couldn't you have just saved us before we even got hurt?" Mario asked.

        "Sadly no. The energy pulsating from Giga-Bowser's body was having an adverse effect on my powers." Clockwork said. "At the moment, I have no power."

        'That power can even stop time itself?' Luigi thought.

        "Worse yet, he has used the talismans' power to amass an inter-worldly empire, conquering a new world each day." Clockwork said. "So far, over the course of two weeks, he has taken over 14 worlds."

        "Has he taken my world yet?" Danny asked.

        "I'm afraid so Daniel." Clockwork said. "He has enslaved everyone in the town, and is having them build a large stone monument to his supposed greatness."

        "Haven't the Super Smash Brothers tried to stop him?" Mario asked.

        "Yes Mario, but so far we haven't been successful in any way." Link said.

        "Wait... hmmm, I think there might be a way..." Jimmy said, rubbing his chin while looking at a laptop screen.

        "What!? What is it!?" Danny asked quickly.

        "I noticed when he took over your world that he seemed to get slower and weaker when he went near Axiom Labs." Jimmy said. "I then found out that Axiom labs was experimenting with a mineral called 'ectoranium.'"

        "You mean like what the 'Dis-Asteroid' was made of?" Danny said.

        "Exactly! Speaking of that, I know from the Super Smash Brothers that the 'Dis-Asteroid' you spoke of landed on a distant planet called Mobius." Jimmy said.

        Danny had a surprised look on his face.

        "Don't worry, the planet's still there." Jimmy said. "Apparently the people living there found a way to make the asteroid land on the planet without destroying it."

        "Okay, so that's the plan." Mario said. "We go to Mobius, get the ectoranium, and use it to stop Giga-Bowser. Link, can you call Fox to take us there?"

        "Sorry Mario, but Giga-Bowser has destroyed any ships attempting to leave his conquered worlds." Link said. "The Great Fox is out."

        "Don't worry, I've figured that out too!" Jimmy said.

        Jimmy then pressed a few buttons on his laptop, and a few seconds later, a green sewer pipe appeared out of the ground.

        "I managed to steal the plans to his warp-zone generator and work then into my laptop." Jimmy said.

        "Jimmy, you rock!" Danny said.

        Danny, Mario, and Luigi then entered the pipe, not knowing of the dangers waiting for them on the other side...
